Monday Good morning everyone. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I'd like to hear all about it, so go ahead and complete the opener and let me know what you did over the weekend. Monday Opener After you complete the opener, I need you to download the following keynote presentation FFA History National.key. We will use this to accomplish a couple of tasks today in class.
-The first task. Once you have downloaded the presentation, you may get into groups of 3-4 and start working on the FFA History Crossword. Candy to the first group who finishes.
-The second task. Now that you are finished with you crossword you are going to add ten more entires to your already impressive timelines. From the new slideshow, I want you to add in the years 1926, 1948 (official jackets), 1949 (FFA Week), 1952 (magazine), 1973, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1989, and 1994. This will complete our timelines. I will come around and check to see how far along you are and grade you appropriately. The timelines will be due on Wednesday. And, if you did not finish the crossword, they will also be due then. If we have time at the end of the period, we will play some swat that.

I want you to open up a Pages document and respond to the following prompt."Choose what you feel to be the two most significant events in the FFA's history. Please write a paragraph supporting your choices and try to tie each event to what was happening in the United States, or world at the time." I will come by and check all responses.
Friday Good day to all. Today we have a special guest with us. Her name is Ms. Anne Lombardo and she is from UC Davis. She will be talking to us about research being conducted on the Pacific Fisher and how our acorn count played a role in that research. Your assignment for today is simple. You will need to complete the form that is handed out to you. In doing so, you will need to formulate and ask a question to Ms. Lombardo. Then you need to write the answer you received for your question. You will also need to discuss one new thing you learned from her visiting and presenting to us. These will be due once she is done with her presentation.
After Ms. Lombardo leaves, I need you to take some time and fill out the 1st Quarter Survey for me. This is like my report card to check and make sure I am doing everything I can to make this experience the best possible for you.
